ASME B16.9 Buttwelding Fittings Stainless Steel Reducing Tee

A Reducing Tee is a T-shaped pipe fitting with two outlets that cut at 90 degrees to the main line. These tees are available with a combination of diverse outlet sizes. In this, the branch port size is smaller than the other ports of the run.

ASME B16.9 Buttwelding Fittings

The ASME B16.9 specification covers the dimensions and the tolerances of carbon, alloy and stainless-steel butt weld fittings.

The ASME B16.9 standard covers all dimensions, tolerances, ratings, testing, and marking for factory-made. butt-welding fittings range size is 1/2’’-80’’/DN15-2000.

Butt Weld Fittings

Butt Weld Fittings are manufacture by seamless or welded pipe. For pipe fittings manufacturers, the forming process of welded pipe and seamless pipe is basically same. Butt welded fittings can be divided into carbon steel butt welded fittings and stainless-steel butt-welded fittings.

Butt Weld Fittings include elbows, tees, cross, caps and reduces. These fittings are the most common type of welded pipe fitting and are specified by nominal pipe size and pipe schedule. Buttweld fittings are manufacture by seamless or welded pipe and are formed to get the shape of elbows, tees and cross etc.

Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings

These Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings are best known for their heat resistance, creep strength and tensile strength. Machined and fabricated to meet your diverse piping requirements, these pipes fittings exhibit excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of atmospheric environments.

Stainless Steel Equal Tee / Reducing Tee

Stainless steel tee is a kind of pipe fittings, generally, there are two kinds. That is, an equal tee, with the same diameter at three ends; a reducing tee, the branch pipe is different in diameter from the other two.

An equal tee, otherwise called straight tee, means the branch diameter of this tee is same with the main pipe (Run pipe) diameter of this tee.
A pipe tee is defined “equal” when the bore size at the run and branch sides have the same diameter. An equal tee is, therefore, used to connect two pipes of the same nominal diameter.
Equal tees are available in sizes from half an inch to 48 inches (or larger) and in seamless and welded execution (seamless up to 24 inches, welded for tee sizes above 24 inches).

A Reducing Tee is a T-shaped pipe fitting with two outlets that cut at 90 degrees to the main line. These tees are available with a combination of diverse outlet sizes. In this, the branch port size is smaller than the other ports of the run.
